Where Actions & Intentions Merge

AIM House is an individualized, young adult residential after care program.

Our program is designed for individuals who are transitioning from residential treatment centers, primary treatment, wilderness programs, and therapeutic boarding schools. We provide a structured living environment and a supportive, personalized program. For 25 years, AIM House has been a leader in the world of transitional living and is celebrated for our ability to truly help find and connect participants to what they are passionate about.

And the community extends beyond the the benefits for participants, we offer a family community to support parents, siblings, and more who have a member at AIM.

Our Program

We meet participants and their families where they are at. Whether you have a clear vision of what you’re looking to achieve or need us to guide your path, we offer an individualized program for you or your family member. Each program is guided by the Four Phases that make us unique, our proprietary process that is the bedrock of our work: Actions, Intentions, Merge and Manifest.

Each phase supports each participant's personal trajectory, goals, physical well-being, and clinical support. We know a path to healing is not one size fits all. That is why we offer a dynamic line-up of traditional and non-traditional methods to support the healing journey, including:

  • Group, Individual and Family Therapy

  • Executive Functioning and Life Skills Training

  • Vocational Coaching and Internships

  • Academic Mentoring and Access to Academic Institutions

  • Relapse Prevention and Support

  • Health and Wellness Instruction

  • Creative Accelerator Programs

  • Positive Peer Support

  • Integrative Psychiatry

  • Family Support Program

  • During this period, we face what is getting in the way of actualizing goals. This phase is designed to allow participants to experience success in maintaining their individual schedules.

    Length: 2 Months

  • The intentions phase is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to identify the goals and aspirations they would like to attain while in the program.

    Length: 2 Months

  • Participants are supported in becoming more responsible for maintaining the structure and healthy lifestyle they have created for themselves. They are given more freedom and independence to explore and maintain their boundaries.

    Length: 1 Month

  • Having integrated the skills, lessons, and practical applications of the previous phases, participants in the Manifest Phase transition into independent living in the outside community.

The main residence at AIM House is The Castle. Originally built in 1928 to function as a sorority, AIM acquired The Castle in 2008, and it has since functioned as the primary residence for participants in our program. AIM House has worked to create a safe home for LGBTQIA+ participants.

At The Castle, residents sleep, support one another in the community, cook together, experience Boulder, and live an independent lifestyle that supports their program path.
